Brief: a solo performance by James Notin.
Ilẹ̀ ń tẹ'lẹ̀, we are dust living on dust! there we come, and to it, everything returns. The nation setting villages on fire, parliaments grounding its society into hatred, the fisherman poisoning the water, the bruised hands complaining about the scorching sun, these are all ashes. Ashes into dust, everything shall return.
In this performance, I strongly reflect on how survival as an individual is merely a struggle for mercy at the hand of universal systems like capitalism, and patriarchy... and also how the alienation of the idea and reality of humans as a part of a rhizome of organisms on this planet.
In this performance, Necrosis and simulation of actions related to the dead are employed to bring to the forethought of the participants the questions I was pondering on.
